6 Details You’ll Love In This Modern Blue and White Farmhouse Kitchen

Finally posting some after photos from this beautiful custom Blue and White Farmhouse kitchen in Bedford, NH. I love this design, it shows how truly versatile the Shaker cabinet can be when utilized uniquely. Details in this design include- River Blue Hard Marble custom countertops, apron front sink, stacked cabinets, and more.

For other projects I have completed check out my projects page here.

1. Fireclay Apron Front Farm Sink

This Blanco Fireclay farm sink adds so much to this kitchen design. Its durable and beautiful, what could be better? It is also deep and allows for easy cleanup of larger pots and cooking sheets.

If you are considering using an apron front sink in your new kitchen design check out my blog post here about the pros and cons of farm sink materials on the market today.

2. Prep Sink in the Island

I absolutely love having a second sink in an island for prep work. This is a great for prepping dinner while entertaining or for filling a pot with water while there are two cooks in the kitchen. This stainless steel model was a great choice with this stone- River Blue Hard Marble- because it blends in instead of drawing attention to the sink.

3.Stacked Cabinets and Crown Molding to the Ceiling

Stacked cabinets have become a trend in the last few years. I love the look of these cabinets because they lift the eye to the ceiling and make the room feel much larger. These White Shaker cabinets are full overlay frameless cabinets and allow for maximum storage. Bringing the tile up to the ceiling above the range also adds visual interest to the room and creates a stunning focal point. (Hood to be added at a later date.)

If you are unsure about stacking your cabinets check out my post here with details on this style.

The cabinetry in this design was built by Styl Cabinetry, a full custom cabinet line out of Quebec Canada. Installation and design provided by Quality Granite and Cabinetry in Concord, NH.

4.River Blue Hard Marble Countertops with Waterfall Edge

River Blue Hard Marble

River Blue Hard Marble is a beautiful natural stone. However, don’t be fooled by the word marble in its name. This stone is a blend of quartzite rock and marble which makes it considerable more durable than a true marble.

5.Oil Rubbed Bronze Faucets

These oiled rubbed faucets add contrast and interest to the kitchen as well as function and beauty.

6.Bonus Matching Pantry

Pantry storage is a must! I have seen large pantries becoming high on the list of must haves for kitchen renovations. This one mimics the cabinets to the ceiling for tons of extra storage and creates visual depth in the space when the door is open and you can see into it from across the room.
