Home Edit’s Processes

Consultations-

The first step in working with Home Edit for your project is setting up a discovery call. During this initial call we will review your project needs and discuss your wish list. A discovery call can last anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes and should end with a clear idea of the project, realistic estimate of investment, and how Home Edit can assist you to achieve your end goals.

Site Visit and Measure-

Now that we have determined your goals we will schedule a site visit. During this visit we will take a thorough measurement of the space and photographs. In addition to the measure, a more intensive review of Home Edit’s processes and terms of service will be discussed. This time will also be used to review the estimated investment for the project and make sure that we have a clear understanding of budget and options to be included in the design. This process is in place so that we can ensure your budget and design are taken into consideration throughout the design process to achieve your project goals.

Design-

Once we have agreed on the projects budget and scope of work, the design work begins. In this process Home Edit will take you project needs and vision and work within your budget to build design options that are right for you. This process is completed with utmost consideration of your vision and budget and will result in options for your project for your approval. This process may include estimates from trusted trades for the project and additional site visits.

Design Review and Project Agreement-

Now that we have created design options for your project we will meet again to review your design. Design reviews will depend on your project needs, but may include the following: material options, furniture and finish options, design drawings, and design renderings. Throughout our design meeting we will explore different design options within your budget and select final materials and layouts. Design meetings should end with an agreement on the best design option and deposits will be collected to start acquiring materials and scheduling any necessary trades.

Scheduling and Execution-

After we have the final design and materials confirmed material acquisition and scheduling will begin! Scheduling can be subject to material and trade lead times, however, a clear plan for installation will be provided with consideration for your time and ours. Times from project start to project finish can vary depending on the size of the project and components. All project dates will be subject to approval prior to scheduling and will be executed within the times allotted with the exception of unforeseen circumstances such as back ordered materials.

Project Completion-

Upon project completion, photography will be taken and a walkthrough will be conducted with you to ensure that you are satisfied with the work.
